A stunning vintage illustration of roses by Belgium born artist Pierre Joseph Redoute (1759 - 1840), who was the official court artist of Queen Marie Antoinette. He eventually became the official artist of Josephine de Beauharnais, the first wife of Napoleon Bonaparte. He was particularly renowned for his studies of roses and lilies. Anyone would be thrilled to receive such a lovely note card. Use as thank you cards, thinking of you cards or keeping in touch. Makes a great gift idea too.
