F-15E JDAM Pickle T-Shirt
In fighter pilot jargon, to "pickle" means to drop a bomb, such as the JDAM-equipped GBU-31. While there are many stories as to the origins of the term, the most common comes from the Norden bombsight, developed in the late 1920's and improved through WWII. The company advertised the accuracy of the bombsight by dropping a wooden bomb into a pickle barrel- after which a pickle would pop out- and thus the term "pickle" was born.
