Faintail Piwakawaka Key Ring

Fantails, also know by the Maori name Piwakawaka, are wonderful birds, friendly, active and agile. The bird in this design is drawn incorporating Maori Koru patterns. The koru (Māori for “loop”) is a spiral shape based on the shape of a new unfurling silver fern frond, symbolising new life, growth, strength and peace. The tones of brown and white are inspired by the true colours of the fantail.
