About This Design

Falling Sakura by Ryokan Kanji Notebook

Falling Sakura by Ryokan Kanji Notebook

[ MEANING ] "Falling cherry blossoms; even those that remain are also falling cherry blossoms." [ PHILOSOPHY ] This famous Jisei (death poem) was written by the Zen monk Ryokan. It captures the essence of "Mono no Aware"—the bittersweet beauty of impermanence and the acceptance of life's natural flow. [ PERSONALIZATION ] You can customise this piece with your own message or name on the back. The calligraphy font is carefully selected to maintain the authentic Shodo aesthetic. [ DESIGN ] This artwork features elegant golden calligraphy set against a dark, textured background, complemented by an authentic "Shokunin" (Artisan) seal. The minimalist contrast emphasizes the spiritual weight of the kanji. [ PERFECT FOR ] Zen seekers, meditation rooms, and lovers of Japanese literature. A sophisticated gift for those who find peace in the philosophy of transience.
