FARMERS' MARKET POSTCARD

Original oil painting by California artist, Susan Payne-Trutna. This art features a typical Sunday morning farmers' market scene with white plastic buckets filled with Cosmos and Zinnias next to cardboard boxes loaded with organic California produce. It's apple season so our shopper has her eye on some sweet and crisp Summerfields, as well as sour and crunchy Mutsus. A head of perfect butter lettuce with a neatly wrapped root ball still attached is the next shopping prize....followed by a large scoop of lime and chilli flavoued pistachio nuts and a favourite local olive oil. Fashionistas will note our shopper is wearing this season's must have Alexander McQueen tweed skirt with "shaggy chic" hemline, Ugg boots, and Bogner quilted jacket. Making a surprise guest appearance near the edge of the canvas is a great grandfather holding his first great grandchild!
