Figment NYC Art Fair Tie

This gorgeous umbrella canopy created by Izaskun Chinchilla will be on display for the entire summer on New York's Governors Island. The use of vibrantly coloured old umbrellas creates an eye-catching display that also functions as a dome. The umbrella canopy can shelter people when it rains and provide shade on sunny days. This beautiful structure called 'Organic Growth Pavilion' was one of two finalists chosen during the 2015 'City of Dreams' competition hosted by the American Institute of Architects New York Chapter's Emerging Architects Committee.
