Fisherman and Daughter at Sea (by Albert Edelfelt) Lumbar Cushion

This design features a painting by the Finnish-Swedish artist Albert Edelfelt (1854–1905). It depicts a fisherman with his daughter on a small sailing boat. They are on the North Sea and the waves are beating against the sides of the boat. There is netting in the boat for catching fish, and the girl has her hand on the boat's tiller. The girl has strawberry blonde hair, which is in pigtails, and the man looks rugged and determined. Both the father and daughter are wearing simple clothes as they focus on their important job. The original artwork was painted by Albert Edelfelt in 1883.
