This design features the national flag of Nigeria (officially the Federal Republic of Nigeria), which is a sovereign country located in West Africa. Nigeria has borders with Niger in the north, Chad in the northeast, Cameroon in the east and Benin in the west. Its southern coast is on the Gulf of Guinea in the Atlantic Ocean. Nigeria is a federal republic comprising 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory, where the capital city of Abuja is located. Besides the capital, Nigeria has five cities with a population of over a million: Lagos, Kano, Ibadan, Benin City and Port Harcourt. Lagos is the largest city in Africa.
