Flag of the Bronx (Borough in New York City) Tie

The Bronx is a borough of New York City in the U.S. state of New York. It is also a county in New York State, under the name of Bronx County, which is the third-most populated county in the United States. The Bronx is to the south of Westchester County; to the northeast and east of Manhattan, across the Harlem River; and to the north of Queens, across the East River. The Bronx is divided by the Bronx River into a hillier section in the west and a flatter section in the east. The Swedish-born immigrant Jonas Bronck, who established the first settlement in the area, gave his name to the Bronx.
