Flannel Animal- Koala-great day to be me Baby T-Shirt

The Flannel Animal series is inspired by my work at the zoo and my husband. When I first started at the zoo I went to an employee party were we were encouraged to wear plaid. My partner and I joked about the animals at the zoo wearing plaid. Through our discussion I drew my first character, the penguin. We loved seeing this discussion come to life through illustration and started to share our ideas with my social media following for animal suggestions. I got such a good response to the images I made stickers and prints that went really fast. I recommend printing on grey with no under laying white. The best print on any colour is on white ink under laying, The print is of a water colour high resolution scan. There are a lot of colours in the watercolor that can not be completely replicated on the shirt but it is still very beautiful. When my husband and I first met he owned one shirt, a red cowboy plaid breakaway button down shirt. It took nearly 6 months to get him to wear something else which just happened to be a blue version of the exact shirt he had. (<this really is a thing) I hope you enjoy the series as it is a continuously growing one!
