This is the famous floating market at Amphawa in the Samut Songkram province of Thailand. Every Fri, Sat and Sunday, the canal and shops along the canal become alive with sellers selling unique handmade souvernir gifts and food. This photo was taken from the bridge that overlooks the canal. At about 4pm, sellers paddle their boats selling local delicacies like thai fried noodles (pad thai), oyster omelette,grilled seafood and many others. Amphawa is also named a UNESCO world heritage site.
