'Giverny in Red' is the second in a series of acrylic paintings inspired by Claude Monet's 'bridge' paintings - depicting the famous bridge in his garden at Giverny. The first was predominantly blue, while for this piece, I chose to give it a red bridge and scattering of red amongst the vegetation. The red turns to soft, pale pink where the sun catches the bridge. Cool blues and violets tone down the temperature in the shaded areas.
