"Forest Fire Sky" greeting card

This is a digital remix of a pastel I did of a sunset I saw while visiting friends Phoenix, Oregon. It was an amazing sunset. Caused by Forest fires in Northern California. For it being such a horrific event it created a absolutely beautiful sunset. We never found out how much acreage was lost during the fire. Or if there was loss of homes or life. The fires are natures way of replenishing the forests. I remember seeing a forest fire from a distance as a child while living in the state of Washington. It was terrifying. It amazes me how something so destructive could produce such a beautiful sunset. The night of the 89 earth quake in the SF Bay Are was the same. The fires in S.F. left such a surreal apocalyptic sky.
