Four Bears, Native American warrior chief puzzle
The image in this puzzle comes from a James Ayers original painting, Mato Tope, Four Bears (2010, Mandan tribe).
Mato-Tope (Circa 1795-1837) was a Mandan chief. He was also called “Four Bears”, after a battle where a group of Assiniboin said he came on in a charge like “four bears.”
Mato-Tope was widely known as a brave warrior, and was famous for killing a Cheyenne chief in hand-to-hand combat.

I designed puzzles for Christmas gifts and they were well received. The collage style I made, and memorable photo style were liked. I haven’t seen anyone assemble the puzzles yet, but I look forward to that.
