A red fox (Vulpes vulpes) running through a snowy, winter night with the Northern Lights aglow over distant mountains; sparks emanate from the fox's tail. Customise by adding your own text. In Finnish mythology the tuliketu, or firefox, is a fox from whose tail come sparks. The tulikettu runs so fast across the snow that its tail sparks flames up into the sky, the Northern Lights.The Finnish word for the aurora is “revontulet,” which translates to “fox fires.”
