Fragment of the design of the Alhambra. Canvas Print
Fragment of the design of the Alhambra. Travel. Spain. Granada. Alhambra.
Granada is a city and a municipality in Spain, the capital of the province of Granada in the autonomous community of Andalusia.
Granada is known as the Iberian and Phoenician settlement since 500 BC. e. later was under the authority of the Roman Empire, the North African state of the Vandals, dominated by Byzantium, and from the beginning of the 7th century belonged to the Iberian state of the Visigoths. In 711, the city was captured by the Moors, after the fall of the Caliphate of Cordoba in 1012, power over the city passed to the Berber ruler, then the dynasty of Almoravids was replaced by the Sultanate of the Nasrids (from 1238 to 1492). In January 1492, the Nadrid ruler surrendered to the Spanish besieging Granada and transferred the city, which was the last stronghold of Islam on the peninsula, Queen Isabella of Castile and King Ferdinand II of Aragon. This event marked the end of the long process of the Reconquista of the Iberian Peninsula by the Christian world. Granada is famous for many historical monuments of architecture, inherited from the Moorish era, as well as the Gothic period and the Renaissance. The most impressive monuments of the Moorish period, not only in Granada, but in all of Spain, include the architectural ensemble of the Alhambra. It was built in the XIV century as the residence of the Nasrid. In the 16th century, at the behest of King Charles V in the Alhambra, a palace was built, for which parts of the original building were destroyed. Also to the sights of Granada are the mediaeval walls and the gardens of the Generalife, the former summer residence of the emirs. The Alhambra and Albaicin, the ancient residential quarter of the Moors, are today part of UNESCO's world cultural heritage. In the centre of the city is the Renaissance cathedral. Next to it is the royal chapel built in 1521, where their Catholic Majesties Isabella and Ferdinand are buried. The Alhambra, a Moorish citadel and palace, is in Granada. It is the most renowned building of the Andalusian Islamic historical legacy with its many cultural attractions that make Granada a popular destination among the touristic cities of Spain.
The Alhambra is an architectural and park ensemble located on a hilly terrace in the city of Granada in Southern Spain. The main development was during the rule of the Muslim Nasrid dynasty (1230-1492), under which Granada became the capital of the Granada Emirate on the Iberian Peninsula, and the Alhambra - their residence. The large complex, enclosed in fortress walls with towers, also included mosques, houses, baths, gardens, warehouses, a cemetery. The patios, passages, fountains and water bodies are perfectly combined with each other. Ceramic tiles, carvings on stone and wood, bizarre plant ornaments and Arabic ligature form a magnificent ornamental decoration of arches, arches, graceful columns, slender columns and carved figured windows. Many consider the Alhambra to be the highest achievement of Moorish art in Western Europe. The Alhambra is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.

Very impressive product! The canvas is sturdily made. It features a saw tooth hanger on the back, making it easy to "try out" the canvas in several rooms until I found the best location. It attracts good comments from my friends. I love it! The printing is wonderful! Colors are as bright and crisp as they appeared on the website.
