French Renaissance Phoenix Monogram MA Cushion

Pattern for lace or embroidery from a design dating to the 16th Century. Intersecting letters M and A surrounded by laurel and topped by a crown. During the 18th Century, Marie Antoinette would also use an overlapping M and A under a crown in a monogram design very similar to this one. In the background is a pattern with phoenixes. Pretty purple plum / burgundy colour. Many other colours available in our shop.
