Fun Boyle Scottish Clan's Kelburn Castle Tartan Ceramic Ornament

The blue and green tartan of Scotland's Boyle Clan forms the background of this trendy design that features a photo of the family ancient home, Kelburn Castle, in North Ayrshire. It is the home of the clan's chief, the Earl of Glasgow and dates from the 12th century when the Scots and Norsemen were at war. The photo is edged with a band of deep forest green. A brighter green, in a simple font, displays the clan and castle names above the ancient structure. The current look, a traditional tower shape, is covered with bright graffiti. Around the turn of the millennium, the Earl was looking for ways to rennovate the outer concrete layer which was crumbling. He invited Brazilian street artists, who collaborated with Scottish talent, for this unique art on the castle's south side.
