At first the '79' year old recipient didn't see what was printed on the 'edge' of the mug; once it was pointed out she SCREAMED with laughter, adding that "I can't take that out shopping with me!" Everyone in the room loudly exclaimed that she could and must. Great laughs! Very sharp, good image; however, it would probably be more effective printed more on a 'side' rather than on the 'edge' of the mug.
