Gadsden Rattlesnake Flag: Revolutionary War 1776 Square Sticker

The year was 1775, and the air crackled with tension. We colonists, tired of the King's heavy hand, were ready to fight for our freedom. Some folks were scared, others angry, but all of us were determined. - That's when we saw it; the Gadsden flag. A bright yellow field with a coiled rattlesnake, ready to strike, and the words "Don't Tread on Me" written below. It wasn't just a flag; it was a symbol of our defiance. - We'd seen those rattlesnakes before, silent and deadly. They warned you to back off, or else. Well, that's exactly what we were saying to the King. We wouldn't take his taxes, his laws, or his soldiers anymore. - Some folks said the flag was too bold, too provocative. But most of us felt a surge of pride when we saw it. It was like a rallying cry, a sign that we wouldn't back down. - We took up arms, some of us joining the Continental Army, others fighting in local militias. The Gadsden flag flew alongside us, a reminder of why we were fighting and what we were fighting for. - It wasn't easy. There were long marches, hard battles, and even harder losses. But we kept going, inspired by the image of that coiled snake and the words "Don't Tread on Me." - And then, after years of struggle, we won. The King was defeated, and we were free. The Gadsden flag, that symbol of our defiance, had become a symbol of our victory. ~ The American Revolutionary War - The American Revolutionary War was a conflict between Great Britain and its thirteen colonies in North America. The war began in 1775 and lasted until 1783. The colonists, who were unhappy with British rule, declared their independence in 1776. The war was a long and bloody conflict, but the colonists eventually emerged victorious. The war resulted in the creation of the United States of America.
