Gethsemane is a garden at the foot of the Mount of Olives in Jerusalem, most famous as the place where Jesus and his disciples prayed the night before Jesus's crucifixion. About the artist: Vincent Willem van Gogh (1853 -1890) was one of the most famous Post Impressionist painters of his era. His work was most noteable for its rough beauty, emotional honesty, and bold colour.
