The Glenview Beavers Fan Club is dedicated to changing the culture around the trapping and killing of beavers deemed a "nuisance" because of their tree cutting and dam building habits in the State of Illinois. Beavers are a keystone species and their habitats allow other animals, fish, birds, and amphibians to flourish. We started out by saving the lives of two beavers living in the retention ponds at a Glenview, Illinois, homeowners association, and now we are branching out to protect beavers throughout Illinois. We are also educating the public about how beavers improve water quality, restore rivers, and prevent flooding!
