Gene Stratton Porter(August 17, 1863 – December 6, 1924) was a Naturalist and Author who lived in Indiana not far from were i live. As well as photographing moths and birds she was well known for her novels and even founded her own silent film production company. She was a woman much ahead of her times. All of the photos I found to reference her were in black and white of course, but I wanted to show her love of the colors found in nature around her and I liked the contrast of it, so i kept it that way rather than add color to her as I think it turned out rather nice that way. I was able to reorder the print in a smaller size and it was shipped to me within a couple of weeks. The print was packaged well to ensure there was no damage during transit (Eco friendly, too!), and I am really pleased with it. I am so grateful to the customer service team for the professional way they handled my order. I had this printed on matt finish card and I was really pleased with the quality. The colours were rich and the image sharp.
