    Gene Stratton Porter Portrait Postcard Gene Stratton Porter(August 17, 1863 – December 6, 1924) was a Naturalist and Author who lived in Indiana not far from were i live. As well as photographing moths and birds she was well known for her novels and even founded her own silent film production company. She was a woman much ahead of her times. All of the photos I found to reference her were in black and white of course, but I wanted to show her love of the colours found in nature around her and I liked the contrast of it, so i kept it that way rather than add colour to her as I think it turned out rather nice that way.
