George (Geṓrgios) – “What Remains”. Georgios knows every sheep by shape, not name. He knows which tree gives the coolest shade, and which hillside holds warmth longest in spring. His children have families of their own now, and his voice carries less far than it once did. Still, the dog listens, the flock follows, and the land remembers his footsteps. As he rests, leaning against the tree, Georgios thinks not of what he lacked, but of what remains - and finds it is enough. A traditional Greek landscape scene.
