George Washington Portrait Key Ring

This portrait of George Washington was painted by Gilbert Stuart of the then sitting President of the United States in March 1795. Washington did not enjoy posing for the portrait and it was quickly completed. To help portray Washington's height, Stuart painted him high within the portrait and to add to his prominence, he created a glowing halo effect around Washington. The painting is names after its original owner, Samuel Vaughan, a close friend of the President. A great present for the history buff.
