This is my favourite " Ghost Town ". when it was a busy mining town it was known as the wildest place in California. The church you see in my photo was the only place of worship but saloons and gambling halls were plentiful. One newspaper account tells of a miner who's firewood was being pilfered. He carved out a few pieces and hid dynamite in the wood. A few days later, his neighbour along with his nearby cabin was blown to bits. - Wayne Green
