Giant Snakehead Poster

Also called the giant mudfish or Indonesian snakehead. It is native to the Mekong and Chao Phraya basins; the Malay Peninsula, and the islands of Sumatra and Borneo. Adults not only eat other fish, they prey on insects, amphibians, reptiles, mammals, and birds. It has the ability to crawl onto land and breathe air, although they are only able to do this in muddy or swampy areas. It is capable of growing to 1.5 m (4.9 ft.) in length and a weight of 20 kg (44 lb).
