Gili Trawangan Indonesia Postcard

Gili Trawangan is the largest and most well-known of the three Gili Islands, located just off the northwest coast of Lombok. It’s renowned for its unique 'no motorised vehicles' rule, meaning the only ways to get around are by foot, bicycle, or small horse-drawn carriages called 'cidomos', which adds to its charming and relaxed island vibe. The island offers a diverse blend, with a busy main strip lined with beachside bars, restaurants, and diving centres, especially on the eastern side. In contrast, the quieter sunset coast on the west is famous for its dramatic sunsets and the iconic 'sunset swings' that allow people to relax and take in the view from the edge of the shallow, crystal-clear water.
