Giraffe on Black Cushion

Giraffe on Black is from an original photograph taken in Palm Desert, CA. I love creating digital art using a common photograph and my unique techniques that included using gradients, carefully going around the giraffe with an eraser by hand to isolate him from his background and layers. Lots and lots of layers. Yes AI may be easier but I prefer to NEVER use it for my art pieces. I personally find no creative satisfaction and in fact have never even tried. I have seen some work using it and yes it is great but it is not for me :) Still all human art. A solitary giraffe stands against a stark black background, highlighted by a subtle glow at its feet which gives the impression that it's standing on a spotlighted stage. The giraffe's distinctive patterned hide and long neck are clearly visible, and there's a signature or scribble in the bottom right corner suggesting the photo is treated as an art piece.
