We are an advocacy group dedicated to raising public awareness about the world wide epidemic of Chronic Pain. Long under- recognised by society and under- funded by medical research , Chronic Pain has become the fastest growing disease in North America today. An estimated 1 in 4 Canadians and Americans suffer from intractable pain that will not resolve in their lifetime. As baby boomers near retirement, recent polls suggest that by the year 2020 this growing tidal wave of pain patients could reach epidemic proportions, totalling some 16 Trillion annually in lost wages, productivity and medical treatment in the USA alone.
