Gold Fleurs de Lis Pattern T-Shirt
Gold Fleurs de Lis Pattern ... slimming design ... slightly tapered border. Gold Fleurs de Lis on Dark Emerald Green. Symbol of the ancient Dutch van Westervelt family of Castle (Kasteel) Westervelt (Westerveldt / Westerveld) North of Zwolle in region Salland of Over-Ijssel province and adjacent Duchy Gelre / Gelderland / Guelder where the van Westervelt family ruled the Town of Harderwijk as hereditary mayors or princes from the Kasteel de Essenburgh in the 1600s in nearby Hierdon having inherited rule from previous ancestral or related Dutch families van Haersolte van Westervelt, van Wynbergen, van Spuelde, van Hueckelom ... and more ancient family back to founding of Harderwijk in 1231 by Otto II van Gelre. Back to 1231! 791 years ago! (writing this is 2022). The origin of the French king symbol the gold fleur de lis on blue of King Clovis I circa 500 AD was when Clovis I Merovingian king of the Franks promised God he would become baptised in the church if God would support Clovis I in his next battle which was in the area of present day Belgium then a part of southern Netherlands near to Duchy Gelre (just SW of Gelre). The direct ancestors of King Clovis I were the Salian Franks who about 200 AD were tribes found in the exact area where the later Castle Westervelt was built in the 1600s upon a previous home there from the 1500s at Westervelt / Westerveldt / Westerveld. So, a thousand years previous to Westervelt this was where the Salian Franks were in the region called Salland / Salaland from which has the common name origin with Salian Franks. This region was near where three rivers approximately meet: Dutch Rivers Ijssel, Zwarte Water (Black Water), and Vecht. Along the green banks of these rivers grew the golden yellow Iris flowers which inspired the king symbol for the Salian Merovingian first King of France to use the Fleur de Lis symbol Clovis I. The Dutch family van Westervelt coat of arms had an emerald green shield with three golden fleurs de lis upon it with a larger fourth gold fleur de lis held up by knights hands through a Ducal Coronet Crown of the Duchy Gelre in which Harderwijk was founded by Otto II of Gelre in 1231 and which was ruled by ancestors of the van Westervelt family from 1231. The later Salland region Westervelt Castle in the early 1600s was an important historical point of resistance of the Dutch against the Spanish Invasion at Zwarte Water North of Zwolle. The relative noble family Haersolte estate Haerst was across the River Vecht from Westervelt. The relative noble family Rechteren estate was SE of Westervelt E of Zwolle. The local Dutch noble families frequently inter-married including the van Rechteren, van Haersolte, van Wijnbergen, van Spuelde, van Hueckelom, van Westervelt, and van Gelre. The van Westervelt families were associated with at least two Dutch 'castles' De Essenburgh at Hierden in Gelre and Westervelt / Westerveldt / Westerveld in Salland of Overijssel North of Zwolle in Over-Ijssel near the Rivers Ijssel, Zwarte Water (Black Water), and Vecht upon the green banks of which (these three Dutch rivers) naturally grew the golden yellow Irises which later would inspire the golden fleur de lis beginning with the Salian Merovingian King of the Franks Clovis I circa 500 AD whose direct ancestors lived circa 200 AD in the exact location where Westervelt was a thousand years after King Clovis I took the golden fleur de lis symbol in circa 500 AD. For a period of time the Royal Duchy Gelre extended to include both Harderwijk and Westervelt ... hence, the Ducal coronet crown of our family coat of arms. We are related to the dukes of Gelre at least via family connections via the van Hueckelom family which was connected to both families. The van Westervelt family of Harderwijk made their money mainly on the sale of dried fish from Harderwijk throughout Europe. The van Westervelt immigrants to America in the 1600s had made their money on raising cattle near Mepple in Drenthe Province N of Westervelt.

Basic Dark T-Shirt, Navy Blue, Adult S
I found the shirt quality itself to be well made. Unfortunately I found that the image quality of the artwork is low resoultion. So the art and words aren't as clear. I probably wont buy another shirt to be honest, but I'm glad I supported the podcast of which I'm a fan of. I was just hoping that for the price I paid, it would have been of better quality.
