This black and white ink drawing featuring gothic floral patterns is inspired by Desmodus rotundus, the common vampire bat. My series of Fancy Bat series features detailed, stylised drawings of different bat species. My chief style inspiration is the wonderful patterning found in Persian art throughout history, from ancient to mediaeval.
