GOTHIC LODGE and SCHOOL - BANNACK MONTANA Poster

The lodge was built in 1874 in the Gothic Style. A housewife contributed her bread board as the base of the Masonic Symbol beneath the roof eave peak. It did double duty for decades as the town's school house while secret Masonic meetings were held upstairs. The ghostly cries of children long since gone have been heard by the merry-go-round as it spins in the breeze. However, when people attempt to move it themselves ... the rust seems to prevent it from moving so easily as it did before.
