GREAT APES Mountain Gorilla Mug Collection

This fantastic collection of Mountain Gorilla Art was created for and is dedicated to Wildlife Direct as they strive to protect the few remaining Mountain Gorillas in the wild. In the war-torn Virunga National Park between Rwanda and the Democratic Congo Republic, only several hundred of these severely endangered Gorillas survive. Weekly we hear of Gorillas being shot or mangled in huge traps or macheted to death by soldiers, villagers and poachers. It is a huge problem that is so dangerous the Gorillas can't even be safely relocated. If only we could relocate the war! Even someof the brave Rangers have lost their lives in trying to protect the few surviving Mountain Gorillas.
