The Great Lakes freighter Canopus ended her career as an auto carrier, with a "flight deck" built over the spar deck to accommodate two decks of new cars, on top of the cars in the cargo hold. Her wheelhouse went on to further use as a playhouse and a museum exhibit, before being put up for auction again.
