About This Design

Grid Optical Illusion Design Coffee Mug

Lingelbach Scintillating Grid Optical Illusion The scintillating grid illusion is an optical illusion, discovered by E. Lingelbach in 1994, that is usually considered a variation of the Hermann grid illusion. It is constructed by superimposing white discs on the intersections of orthogonal grey bars on a black background. Dark dots seem to appear and disappear rapidly at random intersections, hence the label "scintillating". When a person keeps his or her eyes directly on a single intersection, the dark dot does not appear. The dark dots disappear if one is too close to or too far from the image. Classic Mug, 325 ml
I have ordered from zazzle before and it was perfect. This time the mug has arrived in great time but the mug has rubbed on the box and has affected the image, I was hoping to get in touch with the creator but can’t seem to find a way of contacting them. We would love another sent out maybe wrapped in bubble wrap to protect the image. Would love to hear back from the creator. Kind regards, Lisa.
