    The Piano Lesson (La Leçon de piano), painted by Gustave Caillebotte around 1879, shows two women at an upright piano, absorbed in a musical lesson and sheet music. This intimate Impressionist oil on canvas offers a rare female domestic scene in Caillebotte's work. Given by the artist to Claude Monet, it is now held by the Musée Marmottan Monet in Paris.
