This breakwater – the South Pier aka Gummers Wharf - is very much the working end of the harbor; Bridlington is one of Europe’s biggest shellfish ports, and the largest lobster port. The photo was taken looking toward the sun, which is obscured by a hazy sea fret on a bright day; so the boundary between sea and sky is not clear. Color photograph.
