The photograph was taken (by myself) at Top Withins, on the Yorkshire Moors. Only a short hike from Haworth, this ruined farmhouse holds a very solitary aspect overlooking open moorland. Though it bears no resemblance to the house described by Emily Bronte, its position very much does. For this reason, generations of fans have trekked out there to feel like they are in the story itself.
