With a flick of his spectral wrist, the stones would groan and shift, revealing a hidden pit. Deep within, embers glowed with an unnatural heat, fuelled not by wood or coal, but by a nameless, infernal energy. The Horseman would carefully place his jack-o'-lantern on a designated stone slab above the pit.
