I was curious what was up with Trump (or whoever created this take-over-the-world-with-tariffs list). It turns out, Heard and McDonald Islands are uninhabited. This fact was confirmed by a spokesman for the Australian Antarctic Division. And I scrolled down to find: "Heard and McDonald Islands: 10% (charges U.S. 10%)". So, what creatures do live there? A July 2024 WWF Australia post stated: "Located in the Southern Ocean about 4,100km southwest of Perth, Heard and McDonald Islands provide vital feeding and breeding grounds for Antarctic fur seals, elephant seals, macaroni penguins, albatross and fish." Macaroni Penguins were flaunting their stuff a little too much for Trump. Their bold, shaggy yellow crest is something my Adélie Penguins would advise them to trim or dye black or something. My guess is their shaggy yellow crest was WAAAY too similar to Trump's own hairdo for his liking. Although, I'd remind Trump: "Imitation is the sincerest of flattery." ~ 1820 quote attributed to Charles Caleb Colton in his book Lacon: or, Many Things In Few Words.
