Herons Large and Small Calendar

This calendar, sure to be popular with bird lovers, is filled with original photographs by ZoeSPEAK of herons. These wild birds vary in size, from the largest, the Great Blue Heron, to the smaller but still long legged Little Blue Heron and the short legged Night Heron. The Little Blue Heron is white as a baby bird, and turns dark blue as an adult. The Juvenile Night Heron is a spotted brown colour, and becomes grey with dark blue feathers on top as an adult. They are water birds, and the photos show them in many views as they forage for food and pose in their natural habitat. The Great Blue Heron can be seen fluffing up his blue grey plumage to let other birds know that it's his territory. He has a long, "S" shaped neck and a white head topped with dark blue bands on each side. All of the herons have long, pointed beaks. These beautiful creatures on Florida's Gulf Coast are fascinating!
