Herring Gull on Rock Jetty Magnet
Resting on grayish rocks at the south jetty in Barnegat Light, this wild herring gull is seen basking in the summer sun. This adult seagull has a white head with grey back and wings, white tail and white spots on black wing tips. Individual wing feathers can be seen in this photo.
