Portrait of Hinepare, a Maori woman of the Ngãti Kahungunu tribe, c. 1890 by Gottfried Lindauer (1829-1926). Lindauer was a New Zealand artist of Czech descent. He was famous for his portraits of Maori people, and many prominent chiefs commissioned his work.
