French School's MS Fr 9081 f.99v Historiated initial 'R' depicting the King Baldwin I of Flanders (1171-1205) being Crowned as the Latin Emperor in 1204 and his generosity towards a Turkish woman sending her child off to the Crusades, from the 'Histoire de Jerusalem' by William of Tyre (c.1130-85) located at the Bibliotheque Nationale, Paris, France. The MS Fr 9081 f.99v Historiated initial 'R' depicting the King Baldwin I of Flanders (1171-1205) being Crowned as the Latin Emperor in 1204 and his generosity towards a Turkish woman sending her child off to the Crusades, from the 'Histoire de Jerusalem' by William of Tyre (c.1130-85) was created around the 13th century.
