Warm gulf breezes... Salty sea air... The roar of the waves and the wind... This digital image is from a series titled "Louisiana Reframed" which is a collection of digital manipulations of photographs that I have taken all over Southwest Louisiana and New Orleans over the past 25 years. Originally taken with a 35mm camera, these images have been edited using a variety of digital techniques to evoke the appearance of memories. The blurriness, cloudiness, and muted colours mirror the "age-ing" of memory and recollections of places from the past. "Louisiana Reframed" is what I picture in my mind when I think of "home." This particular image was originally taken at Holly Beach Louisiana in the mid-1990s.
