Holy Great Martyr George Orthodox Christian Icon Jigsaw Puzzle

St. George lived during the 3rd and 4th centuries. He grew up in a Christian household, and his father was martyred for the faith. When he grew up, he entered the Roman army and was celebrated as a fierce and fearless warrior. The emperor of Rome at the time, Diocletian, started the Great Persecution of Christians. When George heard about his declarations, he gave all his wealth away and protested against the emperor's decision. He was arrested, but Diocletian tried to change his mind. When he couldn't, George was severely tortured and martyred.
