Official T-shirt of the legendary Homebrew Computer Club, Silicon Valley's forum for the personal computer industry from 1975 - 1986. Design created by Lee Felsenstein, club "toastmaster" who structured and ran the meetings. The image, drawn by Larry Gonick, is an homage to Charles Proteus Steinmetz, a hunchbacked German immigrant dwarf who taught American electrical engineers the math they needed from 1890 - 1923. It depicts the inventor posing for the photographer as he prepares to activate his monstrous creation (modelled after a generator that Steinmetz designed) as he crosses his fingers behind his back (as shown from the rear on the back of the shirt).
