Hometown Christmas 2017 Ornament

Each year, I select one of my paintings to create a special Christmas ornament. This ornament features both sides of my original painting, Hometown Christmas, one of my most beloved and best-selling artworks. Inspired by memories of growing up in La Crosse, Virginia, the painting captures the warmth, traditions, and community spirit of a small-town Christmas. Because the original painting was filled with so many details and memories, the ornament showcases two different views from the artwork—one on the front and one on the back. Together, they tell the story of a simpler time, with snow-covered streets, children at play, glowing storefronts, and the familiar sights of a hometown celebrating the Christmas season. For me, this painting represents more than a winter scene. It reflects the memories of family, friendship, and community that make Christmas so special. While inspired by my own hometown, I hope it reminds others of the places and traditions they hold dear.
